We believe in fostering a love for the game while promoting teamwork, discipline, and confidence. Mary Platt is the reason we are Whitby Fire today—a founding member of ball hockey in Durham more than 40 years ago, her vision and dedication laid the foundation for our success.

This is Tracy Kitchen. She, too, believed that sports have the power to change lives. She believed in hard work, dedication, and a never-give-up attitude. Her love of the game—whether as a player, a coach, or a referee—never wavered. Tracy just wanted everyone to love the game as much as she did. From coaching the first girls’ team to win a world gold medal in 2018, to co-founding the only girls’ league in Ontario, her legacy is one of passion and leadership.

Each logo, thoughtfully designed by my daughter Mackenzie, adds a unique touch, and the initials on every jersey serve as a lasting reminder of the people and memories that inspire us.
